President's Pen, Dr. Barton Priebe

The Lack of Pastors and What to do About it
Across Canada, we are witnessing a shortage of pastors available to serve in churches. Anecdotally, factors contributing to this issue include the retirement of the boomer generation, exhaustion and emotional strain resulting from leading through the Covid pandemic, the complexities of leadership in this generation, low pay, and various other challenges. Regardless of the reasons, the scarcity of pastors is a significant concern, especially considering Canada's population has just surpassed 40 million people and the vast majority do not know Christ.

Newest Team Member - Noel Manucduc!

In our last edition of Northwest News we reported that we were looking for some new team members. We can happily report that our newest team member is Noel Manucduc. Noel is serving as our President's Assistant/Bookkeeper, replacing recently retired, Dianne Gleave. Noel has worked as an accountant, a pastor, and most recently as a chaplain with Baptist Housing. He completed his Master of Divinity (Immerse) through Northwest in 2020. Welcome to the team, Noel!
We are thankful for the generosity of our donors and friends who support Northwest's ministry of leadership training.
