On September 2, ten new students were welcomed into the Korean MA and MDiv programs (Global Christian Leadership). The day was filled with warm smiles, new introductions, and a spirit of anticipation. Alongside the excitement, there were also signs of nervousness—understandable emotions for those stepping into a new chapter, especially for some who had recently arrived in Canada. Still, what became quickly apparent was a shared sense of openness and humility. Each student came with a readiness to learn, to engage deeply, and to walk this journey of theological formation with sincerity.

The range of life experiences among the cohort was especially striking. Among the students are a former news reporter, a finance professional, a church administrator, a secretary to a former high-ranking government official, business owners, and devoted parents. Their spiritual journeys are just as diverse. Some have come to faith only within the past few years and now desire to deepen their understanding of the Gospel. Others are at a point in life where they feel called to dedicate themselves more fully to missions or to serve the Church vocationally. Listening to their stories was both humbling and deeply encouraging.

As these students begin their studies, the hope is that through lectures, readings, writing, and reflection, the Lord will shape them for faithful ministry. This academic path is not merely about acquiring information, but about spiritual growth—about being formed into those who know Christ more fully and are prepared to serve with wisdom and compassion.

Prayer support is deeply appreciated for these students and their families. Some are navigating the challenges of settling into a new country, with children adjusting to unfamiliar schools and communities. Above all, may their knowledge of the Gospel become clearer, their faith deepen, and their lives increasingly reflect the likeness of Christ.
