面对中国社会的深刻变迁以及全球化的加速，中国教会迫切需要新一代有清晰使命和全球视野，并受过良好神学训练的牧者、学者与文化宣教士。而在北美，随着中国移民的剧增和国语教会的快速发展，对理解大陆移民处境并有效牧养这一群体的传道人需求越来越大。蒙主呼召，为回应这一需求，一群大陆背景的北美神学院毕业生、牧者和基督徒学者依托西三一大学神学研究院的平台建立了中文神学部，旨在将最优秀的神学资源与中国教会及北美国语教会的处境联结，为神国培养一大批灵命成熟、学术严谨、视野宽广的领袖人才，并为中华神学的发展和宣教事工作出关键性推动。
The rise of Chinese Christianity with its growing significance for the global church creates an urgent need for a new generation of Christian leaders and educators who are not only theologically equipped but have a clear vision and a global calling for the Chinese Church. By integrating the best theological scholarship with the context, needs and mission of Chinese churches, the Mandarin program offers world-class theological education in Mandarin for Christians who are to become shapers and shakers of Chinese churches and world Christianity.
The Master of Arts - Christian Studies (Mandarin) program, offered in partnership with ACTS Seminaries, aims to raise up pastors, lay leaders, theological educators and cultural missionaries who understand the context and needs of Chinese churches.
